Artwork Guidelines
Last updated: July 31, 2026
Clear artwork keeps production on schedule. Use these guidelines whether you upload files, customize a template, or ask us to design.
Preferred file types
- PDF (print-ready) — best for signs, banners, mailers
- PNG or JPG — high resolution; avoid heavy compression
- Vector logos (AI/EPS/SVG) welcome when available
Resolution & size
- Raster art: aim for 300 DPI at final print size when practical
- For large banners, 150 DPI at full size is often acceptable
- Do not upscale tiny web images for yard signs
Bleed, safe area, and text
- Add bleed (typically 0.125") on products that trim to size
- Keep critical text and logos inside a safe margin from edges
- Outline fonts or embed them in PDF exports
- Use high-contrast type for roadside readability on signs
Color
- Design in CMYK or convert before final PDF when possible
- Screens (RGB) will not match ink exactly — proofs help set expectations
- Provide Pantone targets only if we confirm they are available for that product
Campaign disclaimers
Include any paid-for-by or authority-line text required for your race. We do not give legal advice on disclaimer wording — check your local election rules.
Template & design help
Online templates are available on many products via Print.App. You can also choose design assistance at configure time, or contact us at 812-MAD-TOWN.
Proofs
We send a proof before printing on most jobs. Review carefully — approval authorizes production. See the Proof Approval Policy.
